REGISTRATIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED FOR OUR WINTER 2018 PROGRAM.  BE SURE TO WATCH FOR DETAILS REGARDING OUR SUMMER PROGRAM COMMENCING IN OCTOBER 2018.

The Brisbane Netball Association will be holding a Summer 2018 program at Bradbury Park, 468 Rode Road, Chermside QLD 4032 on a weekday afternoon.

Suncorp NetSetGO is a fun, safe, social and active program for girls and boys aged 5 to 10. It gives kids of all abilities a positive introduction to netball and teaches them the basic skills of the sport.

All registered Suncorp NetSetGo participants receive a Size 4 netball, a Suncorp NetSetGO T-shirt, Healthy Habits activity book and Suncorp Super Netball collectible player cards.

All registered participants are also eligible to enter exclusive competitions and win some exciting prizes!   Make sure you follow Netball Australia on Facebook and Instagram to find out more.

Suncorp NetSetGO is divided into three tiers; NetSet and GO, meaning that your child will learn at a pace that’s right for their age and ability.

Each week your child will take part in skill based activitiesminor gamesmusicdance and modified matches that will help them develop fundamental movement skills, as well as important social skills like team work. Each session will be led by an accredited coach, using modified equipment.

The three tiers; NetSet and GO are divided as follows:

  • Net is for 5 to 6 year olds (born 2013 or 2012) and teaches fundamental motor skills through dance, music and games
  • Set is for 7 to 8 year olds (born 2011 or 2010) and focuses on refining fundamental motor skills and introducing modified netball matches. Players will compete in a weekly fixture games as part of htis program.
  • GO is for 9 to 10 year olds (born 2008 or 2009) and focuses on developing netball specific skills through modified netball matches (previously known as Moddies at BNA).

The program runs for 10 weeks commencing:

What to wear?   Suncorp NetSetGO t-shirt, shorts or a skirt and sneakers. If your child is playing outside, we recommend they wear a hat too (neoprene visors are available from the clubhouse) and apply sunscreen prior to session.

2011 7 y/olds for Set 7’s

Modified rules apply as per Netball Australia SET rules. Players complete a skills session followed by weekly games of a shorter length (i.e. 2 halves) on Saturday mornings. Focus is on skills.

 2010 8 year olds for Set 8’s

Modified rules apply as per Netball Australia SET rules. Weekly competition where players play full length games (ie 4 quarters) after a shorter skills session on Saturday mornings.

GO Competition

Mid Week Fixtures – day to be confirmed.  Players will compete in club teams.

Training with Clubs usually commences August 2018  and competition officially commences earlu October2018

2009/2008 9 and 10 year olds

Modified rules apply as per Netball Australia GO rules. Players train with their clubs and play in fixtures on Saturday mornings.

 

NetSetGO Participant Pack – 

All registered Suncorp NetSetGO participants receive a Size 4 netball and a Suncorp NetSetGO T-shirt. All registered participants* are eligible to enter exclusive competitions such as participating in International Series’ half-time matches where you have the chance to meet the players.

Once your online registration has been submitted you should receive a Registration Confirmation email, and the ordering process for your pack will commence. The participant pack cannot be refunded (due to processing timelines) as part of your NetSetGO refund if you change your mind.
