Brisbane Netball Association Celebrating 50 Years

To allow initial paper grading of all teams please note the following deadlines:

• Team Nominations due 25th September, 2020 (nomination form below in 'How to Register Your Team')
• All players registered by 2nd October, 2020

Each Independent team must send a representative to an information and COVID briefing meeting to be held at the BNA Clubhouse on Thursday 8th October at 6.00pm. This session will outline important information for the upcoming season, including COVID procedures that must be adhered to when attending our complex (players, officials and spectators), and will give you all an opportunity to ask any questions.

***These dates may be revised as required by the Competitions Director.

Fixtures will commence on Tuesday 20th October 2020 and Wednesday 21st October 2020. For all competitive teams the Grand Finals are scheduled to be held on Tuesday 9th February 2021 and Wednesday 10th February 2020 (subject to change due to weather).  GO teams do not participate in finals.

Finals Format:

Week 1  Semi Final Game #1  1st place v 4th place (Winner goes straight into GF the following week) 
 Semi Final Game #2  2nd place v 3rd place (Winner goes straight into GF the following week)

Week 2  Grand Final  Winner of Semi Final Game #1 v Winner Semi Final Game #2

• 1 spectator per player at any game for all ages - GO, Juniors, Inters & Opens (All other persons must either remain in their car or leave the venue and return later)
• No siblings are permitted at any game unless they are the only spectator for that player (No exceptions!)
• Cleaning of court surrounds and equipment will need to be completed by teams after each game (Cleaning products and checklist provided by BNA and situated court side at each court).
• Teams/Clubs will be placed on an additional COVID Cleaning Roster to complete the general COVID cleaning duties required at the courts each fixture night. This roster will be released closer to the start of the season.
• It is the Team's primary contact person responsibility to ensure their team members are adhering to all COVID restrictions/guidelines. For full details regarding pedestrian traffic flow and other COVID safe protocols, please click here.

Seniors and Juniors

Team information provided on the Independent Teams Nomination Form submitted by 25th September, 2020 will be used to preliminary grade all teams . When completing this form please provide detailed, accurate information regarding players ages, experience and skill level so the best grading outcome can be achieved - this will alleviate the need for team movement after the grading period. 

Grading is conducted over the first 3 weeks of the competition. Points earned and goal averages count towards the final placings at the end of the season, so it is important all teams are at full capacity and perform to their standard.

The Games Rules will be updated in the coming weeks for the 2020/21 Summer Night Season. Teams will be forwarded a complete copy once updated - please ensure you familiarize yourself with these rules.

NB:  For our 2020-21 Summer Night Season, fill in players are not permitted.  Only fully registered team members are permitted to participate in any fixture game.  Additional players can register to your team through out the season

All players must wear the team uniform as specified on the submitted Independent Team Nomination - 2020/21 Summer Night Season form. Players are allowed to wear shorts/tights/T-shirts/singlets provided that they are all the same style/length/colour. For the safety of all players, zips of any size or length on uniforms (whether functional or cosmetic) will not be permitted to be worn.

We ask that you please nominate a uniform combination other then black tights/shorts and black singlets/shirts as we already have multiple teams wearing this. We suggest black tights with a brightly coloured singlet/shirt to help differentiate your team from your opposition. 

Balls and Bibs

All teams must supply their own ball and bibs for fixtures.
