Brisbane Netball Association invites our representative players, families and team officials to celebrate the 2026 season at our Break-Up Breakfasts.

The Senior Rep and GBNL Breakfast will be held on Saturday 12 September, while the Junior Rep and U11 Breakfast will be held on Saturday 19 September.

Both events will run from 9:00am–11:00am at Kedron-Wavell Services Club, with guests asked to arrive at 8:45am. Due to limited venue capacity, all players, officials and guests must register by Wednesday 2 September.

Guest tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Dress code is smart casual.

Important Registration Information

Due to the venue’s limited capacity, all attendees must be registered prior to the event. This includes:

Players
Parents/guardians
Coaches
Managers
Primary Carers
Other permitted guests

SENIOR REP:

Parents/guardians must register as a guest — they cannot attend simply because their player is registered. Parents/guardians will not be permitted entry unless they have been included in the registration.

There are only 34 guest tickets available for parents/guardians. Each player registration is limited to 2 guest tickets.

Guest tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once all 34 guest tickets have been allocated, no further guest registrations will be accepted.

If the 34 guest tickets have been allocated and you would like to attend, please email Jemma (admin@brisbanenetball.org.au) to be added to the waitlist. If additional places become available, families will be contacted from the waitlist.

Please note that being added to the waitlist does not guarantee a place.

Coaches, managers and primary carers must also register their attendance, however their registration is separate from the allocation of guest tickets — please register under ‘Player/Official tickets’.

Accurate registration numbers are essential so that BNA can finalise catering and seating plans for the event.

JUNIOR REP:

There are only 13 guest tickets available for parents/guardians. Each player registration is limited to 1 guest ticket.

Guest tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once all 13 guest tickets have been allocated, no further guest registrations will be accepted.

If the 13 guest tickets have been allocated and you would like to attend, please email Jemma (admin@brisbanenetball.org.au) to be added to the waitlist. If additional places become available, families will be contacted from the waitlist.

BNA Board Secretary

Board Secretary (Volunteer)

Reports To

President, Brisbane Netball Association (BNA)

Position Purpose

The Board Secretary plays a vital role in supporting the governance of Brisbane Netball Association by ensuring Board meetings are well organised, accurately documented, and compliant with the Association's Constitution and relevant legislation. The Secretary works closely with the President and Board Directors to ensure effective administration and communication.

Key Responsibilities

Governance & Administration

Coordinate Board meeting schedules in consultation with the President.
Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and supporting papers.
Record accurate minutes of Board meetings and Annual General Meetings.
Maintain Board records, policies and governance documents.
Ensure the Association complies with constitutional and statutory requirements.

Communication

Act as the primary point of contact for Board correspondence.
Distribute Board communications and meeting outcomes where appropriate.
Maintain confidentiality of all Board discussions and documentation.

Compliance

Maintain registers required under the Constitution.
Assist with preparation and lodgement of annual governance documentation.
Support the Board in meeting legal and governance obligations.

Board Support

Provide administrative support to the President and Board Directors.
Assist with planning the Annual General Meeting.
Support induction of new Board members.
Coordinate Board documentation and secure storage of records.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Excellent written communication and minute-taking ability.
High attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Good computer skills (Microsoft Office and cloud-based document storage).
Previous experience in administration, governance or committee work is desirable but not essential.

Time Commitment

Attend monthly Board meetings (approximately 2 hours).
Prepare agendas and minutes before and after meetings.
Approximately 4–8 hours per month, with additional time around the Annual General Meeting.
