Welcome to Brisbane Netball Association

As per the Rules of Netball (and no, this is not a new rule), earrings cannot be worn on court. They also cannot be taped over. All jewellery must be removed before taking the court.

Please consider this carefully before getting new piercings, as players who take the court will be asked to either:
• Remove the earrings, or
• Not take the court

Please also note, nails are to be clipped short and cannot be taped over. We do allow players to wear gloves, with no rings to be worn underneath.

These rules exists for player safety and applies to all competitions from NetSetGo to Opens.

Importantly, this is not the umpire’s problem to solve on game day. Umpires are simply required to enforce the rules of the game.
