BNA'S HISTORY
Brisbane Netball Association started off the back of a revolution in 1971, as a break-away group of rebels formed a new Association on Brisbane’s northside to prioritise player and official’s development. After playing at courts in various suburbs in North Brisbane, Brisbane Netball Association found a home at our current location at Bradbury Park, Rode Rd Chermside and had a season opening ‘March Past’ in April 1973 – on 6 bitumen and 6 grass courts.
A lot has changed since that first day at Bradbury Park, but some things have not. We now have 14 all-weather courts with newly installed floodlights covering each court. Brisbane Netball Association still prioritises player and official’s development and in 2026 will showcase our brand new re-surfaced courts and a brand-new clubhouse.
Brisbane Netball Association supports two playing seasons each year. The Winter Day Season which runs from April to August where fixtures are hosted from 8:00am to 5:00pm each Saturday. The Summer Night Season runs from October to February as a twilight competition, from 5:30pm -10:00pm over two nights during the week
